And Our Dear Channel Islands..

And Our Dear Channel Islands… tells the story of Jersey’s Occupation by German forces between 1940 and 1945 and the island’s subsequent Liberation.

The play used archive film footage, historical records and music of the period to tell the stories of islanders caught up in this turbulent period of their history. The result was a spectacle on a grand scale that did justice to the sweep and depth of the story.

It premiered on 5 May 1995 at Gloucester Hall, Fort Regent, Jersey, and played to sell out audiences. The production used indoor fireworks, motor vehicles, farm animals, a concert orchestra, massed choirs and a cast of 350 people.

And Our Dear Channel Islands… is by V.T. Davy and was produced by Liberation Productions Limited.
